根据真实事件改编。65岁的大学退休教师Christopher Jefferies原本过着平静的退休生活，每天早上九点到同一家面包店买面包。Christopher是两栋公寓的房主，将公寓租给了两对年轻情侣。直到十二月的一个寒冷雪夜，其中一个女租客Joanna Yeates失踪，几天后她的尸体在公寓附近的草丛中被发现，这出悲剧旋即成为海角社区交友APP下载关注的焦点，Joanna的房东，也就是留着过时而古怪的长白头发的Christopher立即被警方指控为谋杀嫌疑犯而关入监狱，海角社区交友APP下载媒体更是大肆炒作，早已将Christopher定为真凶。而冤屈终有昭雪那一天……
