影片讲述天王李靖封神之前斩妖除魔的热血成长史，将观众熟知的封神英雄进行了别出心裁的演绎。影片讲述了大荒城城主张坞为复活三千年前被皇帝打败而封印于东海某处的赤睺，到处蛊惑人心，并指使各种妖怪在人间胡作非为，少年李靖学成下山后见此情景，执心中正义一路斩妖除魔，并与路途中遇到的姜子牙等人结为队友，各显神通，为拯救百姓苍生殊死一战。
